The diameter is chosen for the target power and for the turbo: too big on a nearly standard engine means a lazier pull out of a slow corner. The diameter is written into the name of each part, and the inch sizes read like this: 63 is two and a half, 76 is three, 89 is three and a half.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat it asks for after fitting\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will almost certainly need a remap. The back pressure changes, and the lambda sensor thresholds move with it; without adaptation you get fault codes and the engine goes into limp mode. If you run under a set of regulations, check what they ask for before you order.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat it does not cover\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA downpipe only changes the section after the turbine. The rest of the system, the centre and rear silencers, stays as it is on the car, and if you want the whole system replaced that is another product.
