BMW added a cross member on the front mounts, and the load moved to the left rear mount, where it fails even on low mileage street cars. The Super version uses 2.5 mm thick plates on the boot floor to fix the problem once and for all.

Specifications

Brand

Tegiwa

Code

TE-1077002-1

Position

boot floor, rear subframe mounts

Plate thickness

2.5 mm

Which cars it fits

BMW M3 E46

What to check

BMW also injected foam between the floor and the subframe; it helps, but does not stop the spot welds failing and makes welding in that area hard.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1044/6857/8642/files/1_2eb3c865-3b2e-4a16-9411-173459355fa4.jpg?v=1791446556
