Compozitia decide totul

O placuta are o fereastra de temperatura in care franeaza asa cum a fost gandita. Sub ea musca slab, si tocmai de aceea o placuta de competitie este periculoasa pe masina de oras: la prima franare, rece, nu opreste. Peste ea, materialul cedeaza si pedala se duce in podea.

Cum alegi

  • Strada: lucreaza de la rece, praf putin, zgomot mic. Alegerea implicita daca masina merge zilnic.
  • Strada plus trackday ocazional: suporta mai multa caldura si inca franeaza acceptabil rece. Compromisul cel mai des cautat.
  • Competitie: frecare mare si constanta la temperatura, dar cer incalzire. Numai pe masina care merge pe circuit.

Ce mai conteaza

Placuta agresiva uzeaza discul mai repede: socoteste si discurile in buget. Placutele noi cer rodaj, altfel materialul se depune neuniform si apare vibratia in pedala. Iar daca pedala este moale, cauza este mai des in furtune sau in lichidul de frana vechi decat in placuta: lichidul absoarbe apa in timp, iar apa fierbe mult sub temperatura la care fierbe lichidul nou.
