Powerflex Polyurethane Bushings

The Powerflex series

• Road Series (purple): a hardness meant for the everyday car: more precise than rubber, without making the cabin unbearable
• Black Series: the hard compound, for competition. It passes on noticeably more noise and vibration; it is not the choice for a road car
• Heritage Series: for classic cars, where the original look matters too

The warranty

Powerflex gives a lifetime warranty on the road series. The Black Series, being built for competition, is excluded from that cover.

How to choose properly

Filter by make, model and generation, then by mounting position: a car has different bushes on the front lower arm, on the anti-roll bar and on the rear axle, and they are not interchangeable. If you have the Powerflex code or the OEM code, search straight on it.

Fitting

Most bushes are pressed into the arm or into the mount, so they need a hydraulic press and the labour that goes with it. Powerflex supplies its own grease with the bushes that ask for it: use it, because ungreased polyurethane starts squeaking before long. The alternative from another manufacturer, with other hardnesses: Strongflex polyurethane bushes.
