Seams on the outside
Good gloves have the seams on the outside, so you do not feel them in the palm and do not get blisters in long races. It is the most visible difference between a motorsport glove and an ordinary one.
The size
It is taken on the circumference of the hand, not on finger length. The glove has to sit tight, with no creases in the palm: creases slip on the wheel and tire the hand. Leather gives a little with use, fabric almost none.
Homologation
The sewn in label carries the standard. Gloves are part of the same chain as the suit and the underwear, and scrutineering checks them all. Check the regulations for what your series asks for.
