Roll Cage Mounting Accessories

When you take the sunroof mechanism out you are left with a hole in the roof, exactly where the cage passes, and a weaker roof in that very area. The delete panel closes it and brings the stiffness back, plus a few kilograms less and a lower centre of gravity. It rivets in and is sealed on the edge.

Weight and centre of gravity

A sunroof mechanism weighs a few kilograms and sits in the worst possible place, right at the top. With it out, the centre of gravity of the car drops more than you would expect for the weight involved.

Fitting

The panel fits into the existing holes and is sealed around the edge. Check it is watertight with a hose before you put the headlining back: water that gets in there goes straight into the cabin.
