Alignment and toe
Some of these are alignment tools. The string kit gives you a straight reference around the car and lets you measure toe wheel by wheel, between runs, without looking for a rig. A steering wheel level checks whether the wheel stays straight after adjustment.
Camber and caster
A digital gauge attaches to the wheel and reads the angle directly, in tenths of a degree. It is the quickest way to repeat the same setup on both sides, and to come back to it after trying something else.
Weighing
The weighing systems show how many kilograms each wheel carries and how the weight sits across the diagonal. Without their numbers, any discussion about the balance of the car stays at the level of impressions.
Pressure and temperature
Gauges with a bleed valve and tyre temperature probes tell you whether the pressure you chose is working: the tread has to heat evenly, not just in the middle or just on the shoulders.
