What goes into a connector
A complete connector has one receptacle housing, one plug housing, the contacts and a wedge lock for each housing. Contacts are sold one by one, so you buy exactly as many ways as you wire.
Figures to know
Size 16 contacts carry 13 A and take 14 to 20 AWG wire. Sealing is IP68, and the working temperature runs from minus 55 to plus 125 degrees.
Crimping is done with a round contact crimper. The contact goes into the housing until you hear the click, and the wedge lock keeps it there.
