The friction pack of a metal plate limited slip differential wears and is replaced at service, without replacing the whole differential. The MFactory sets come with the forged plates and the preload springs.

How to choose

By the plate count of the differential: 12 on Honda, 16 on Honda v2, 20 on BMW and Toyota. MFactory says to replace the plates once their thickness drops below 1.58 mm.
