The filter and its backing plate
The backing plate holds the filter on the carburettor. Each plate is made for one filter model, for example the Megaflow JC50 for twin carburettors. The filter and gaskets are ordered separately, and the plate is sold singly.
Maintenance
The CL-2 spray removes dust and old oil from the foam, and the filter is then oiled again with JDR-2 or JDR-3. Without cleaning, new oil settles over the old dirt and the filter breathes less and less.
