The pad is chosen on compound
A competition one needs heat in it to work. On public roads it brakes worse than a road pad, because it never reaches temperature. Choose by how you use the car.
The brake hose
A braided one does not raise braking power. It takes out of the pedal the soft part that appears when a rubber hose swells with heat. You feel it after a few hard stops in a row, which is exactly on track.
The suspension
With double wishbones you have more joints to maintain than with a MacPherson. Bushes are looked for by position, not by assembly, because a single arm usually has two different positions.
