What a drift car asks for

Beyond steering angle and power, what keeps a car predictable is geometry that does not wander. Polyurethane bushes on the arms and on the subframe, plus adjustable arms that bring camber and toe back, do more for control than extra horsepower. On the models with a multilink rear, an adjustable arm kit is effectively mandatory once the car is lowered.

The subframe, the part people forget

On the S13, the S14 and the R generations, the rear subframe bushes are usually original and tired. When they give up, the whole subframe moves against the body on sudden changes of direction, and the car becomes unpredictable exactly when you need it not to be. Change them at the same time as the arms, since you are working in the same place anyway.
