The car is heavy, and the weight sits low
With the battery in the floor, the car rolls less than you expect, but it loads the tyres and the brakes far harder. The spring is chosen on the real mass of the model, from the data of the set, not on the class of car.
Lowering has a different limit
Ride height protects the battery as well, not just the bumper. Check on the product page how far the set drops and what clearance is left.
