The reducer joins a 57 mm pipe to a 76 mm one in a single step. Polished stainless steel takes the heat and the road salt, so the part can stay in sight under the car.

Where it goes
- On a custom line, where the muffler, the catalyst or the downpipe has a different diameter than the pipe on the car.
- When fitting a universal muffler whose inlet does not match the existing pipe.
- The part does not hold two pipes on its own: the joint is welded or clamped, the reducer only makes the change of diameter.
Fitting
- Deburr and clean the pipe end first, so the reducer seats all the way to the step and sits on the whole circumference.
- Weld it, or clamp it when you want to be able to take the line apart later.
- Back-purge stainless with argon. Without purging, the root of the weld goes porous and that is where the crack starts.
