Adaptors on the original arm
The economical option: they fit to the hub and the factory arm and add a few degrees of angle. It is the simplest step and does not require changing the whole steering geometry.
Complete kit
It replaces hubs, arms and ends, and the angle grows far more. It costs several times as much and needs serious setting up after fitting, but it is the only option when you want a lot of angle with the car still stable.
What changes in the geometry
Increasing the angle changes the Ackermann, the caster and the way the wheels load up in a corner. After fitting, the alignment is mandatory, with the car at its final ride height and the weight on the wheels.
What gives up afterwards
With a lot of angle, the track rod ends, the bushes and the driveshafts work at angles they were not built for. Check them more often than on a normal car and do not be surprised when they become consumables.
