The Sparco bucket seats here are all FIA homologated, for circuit and rally. The Evo comes in three sizes, standard, L and XL, and the Evo QRT X is the waterproof version, for off-road.

Buying guide and details

Validity

An FIA seat homologation has a validity period, counted from the manufacturing date on the FIA label, and it is checked at scrutineering. For FIA 8855-1999 it is 5 years. Where we know it, the year is in the product title. The differences between 8855-1999, 8855-2021 and 8862-2009 are in our article on FIA seats.

Fitting

The seat bolts to side mounts, and the side mounts to a car-specific base. The base is chosen by car, year and side.
