The Skunk2 Pro Series set for K-series engines replaces the hydraulic i-VTEC intake gear and the exhaust gear with mechanically adjustable gears, 10 degrees advanced or retarded. The intake gear is much lighter than stock, so the engine responds faster and the timing does not drift.

What to check

  • The gear is precision machined, hardened steel with laser-etched timing marks; the hub is hard anodized 7075 aluminium with Skunk2's no-slip 6-bolt design.
  • Skunk2 recommends the set for race engines running at high rpm in a narrow power band.
  • Without the hydraulic gear, the VTC solenoid is replaced by the Skunk2 639-05-0500 / 639-05-0505 delete.
