What you should know
- For exhaust joints that have to come apart, at the muffler or the catalyst, and for butt joints made with a connector sleeve.
- Zinc wears off under the car, more so on salted roads. When you want the band itself not to rust, the answer is a W2 clamp or a Powersprint one.
- Pick the size by the outside diameter of the pipe where the clamp sits.
