The Blackline HLF062 fits the Volkswagen 02J gearbox with bolt-on drive flanges, as used on the Golf 4, New Beetle and Bora. It is a direct replacement for the original differential.

How it works
- As torque rises, the helical gears thrust against the case and the internal friction sends up to 5 times more torque to the wheel with grip than to the one that spins
- At light load it works smoothly and quietly, and the wheels can still turn at different speeds in a corner
- There are no friction plates, so it needs less maintenance
- It works well with modern ABS systems
Before you order
- The supplier sheet also lists the Golf 3 and Vento. The 02J gearbox appeared in 1999, so on those cars the gearbox code must be checked before ordering
- To transfer torque, the wheel with less grip needs some resistance: with one wheel fully in the air the effect drops
- Check the gearbox code before ordering
