What to check
- Pro Series camshafts start from chill-cast billet blanks, CNC ground with cubic boron nitride wheels, with hardened lobes. The Fast Ramp and AMAX profiles cut seat timing and maximise the area under the lift curve.
- Above 12.6 mm lift, the stock lost motion assembly reaches coil bind; this is why Skunk2 requires the parts below.
- Skunk2 quotes gains of 15-20 hp and 24-30 Nm.
- Requires: adjustable cam gears (silver 304-05-5202 or black 304-05-5205), Pro XP valve springs (311-05-7350), Pro titanium retainers (308-05-0300), cam degreeing.
- Skunk2 recommends: lost motion assembly (312-05-0200), high compression, engine management and a dyno tune, deep valve pockets, valve-to-valve and valve-to-piston clearance checks.
