What to check
- There are no wearing plates: it needs no special oil and no periodic rebuild, unlike plate-type LSDs.
- It works without locking, so steering response stays as it was with the factory differential.
- Like any helical differential, it sends little torque when one wheel is in the air. Traction control covers this, and without it drivers use left-foot braking.
