The MFactory differential uses helical gears to move torque towards the wheel with grip, without clutch plates. It replaces the factory differential on the Audi S4 B6 and B7 4.2 V8 with the 0A3 6-speed gearbox.

What to check

  • There are no wearing plates: it needs no special oil and no periodic rebuild, unlike plate-type LSDs.
  • It works without locking, so steering response stays as it was with the factory differential.
  • Like any helical differential, it sends little torque when one wheel is in the air. Traction control covers this, and without it drivers use left-foot braking.
