Blackline Limited Slip Differential for Mazda MX-5 NA / NB (1994-2005)
The Blackline HLF030 replaces the open differential on the 1994-2005 Mazda MX-5 NA and NB. Its helical gears send more torque to the wheel that has grip, on corner exit and when drifting.

How it works
- As torque rises, the helical gears thrust against the case and the internal friction sends up to 5 times more torque to the wheel with grip than to the one that spins
- At light load it works smoothly and quietly, and the wheels can still turn at different speeds in a corner
- There are no friction plates, so it needs less maintenance
- It works well with modern ABS systems
MX-5 1.6 and before you order
- On the MX-5 Mk1 1.6 it fits only with the differential housing, propshaft and driveshafts from the 1.8
- To transfer torque, the wheel with less grip needs some resistance: with one wheel fully in the air the effect drops
