The matt version of the Tegiwa airbox for the Civic Type R EP3 weighs 240 grams less than the gloss kit. It has a cotton filter, and Tegiwa measures 5-10 bhp without mapping and up to 15 bhp peak with mapping.

Which cars it fits
- Honda Civic Type R EP3 (2001-2005), right hand drive; left hand drive with modifications
What to check
- It is made for right hand drive. On a left hand drive car it fits with modifications: the fuse box moved slightly left, the brake fluid reservoir moved forward on extended hoses and bracket, and a small corner cut from the left wiper scoop. Tegiwa does not accept returns of a modified or fitted airbox.
- The Tegiwa silicone intake hose complements it but is not included.
