Skunk2 Pro XP valve springs keep the valves under control on Honda B16, B17 and B18 (VTEC) engines, with no valve float above 11,000 rpm. XP means extra seat pressure, for turbocharged and very high rpm engines, while keeping the coil bind height for high-lift camshafts.

What to check
- Dual springs wound from Japanese chrome-silicon wire: the inner and outer springs are mated with a slight interference fit and have different frequencies, so they do not resonate together.
- The wire is 100% eddy-current inspected before coiling, then the springs are heat treated, shot peened, chemically polished and nitrided.
- On H22A and F20B engines they fit only with the Skunk2 312-05-0015 spring base kit.
