Simpson HANS Helmet Post Anchor Kit
The kit fits the classic HANS posts (post anchor) to the helmet; the tether clips from a HANS or a Simpson Hybrid attach to them. It is Simpson branded and approved to FIA 8858-2010.

Good to know
- Without anchors, the helmet cannot be connected to an FHR
- Simpson: FIA 8858-2010 accepts anchors without a nut washer, fitted to a helmet with a built-in M6 terminal; the nut washer version is SFI only
- In karting, the 2026 CIK-FIA technical rules (Art. 7.1) do not allow M6 anchorages
- For quick release there is the M61 anchor kit, product code SI-M61-HAK

The approval in the rules
- Art. 3.1: any device attached to the helmet must be approved to FIA 8858, and approved systems are listed in FIA Technical List no. 29
- Art. 3.2: the FHR is worn only with FIA 8858 approved tethers and helmet anchors, and with an FIA 8859 or 8860 helmet
- In FIA Technical List no. 29, the homologation end date is the last date on which the model may be manufactured; the approval number is read from the label on the device
