The Sparco Matrix is a fibreglass racing seat, approved to FIA 8855-2021. The back carries a honeycomb reinforcement plate, and the approval only holds on the Sparco 004926 side mounts.

Who it suits
- Rally and circuit cars, for drivers who want a seat approved to the 8855-2021 standard
- The approval only holds with the Sparco 004926 side mounts, homologated together with the seat in FIA Technical List no. 91. They are sold separately
- No more than one spacer of up to 20 mm is allowed at each contact point between seat and mount (Appendix J, Art. 253-16)
How long FIA 8855-2021 approval lasts
- The seat may be used for 10 years from the year of manufacture (Appendix J, Art. 253-16)
- For rally cars, Appendix J no longer accepts 8855-1999 seats from 01.01.2027, with exceptions. The limit does not apply to 8855-2021 seats
