OBP thermostatic oil sandwich plate, 2 x AN10 male outlets
Warehouse stock
A sandwich plate sits between the block and the oil filter and takes oil out to the cooler. This one is CNC machined from aluminium and has a thermostat in it: until the oil reaches 82 degrees the cooler stays shut and the engine warms up normally.

What changes in the circuit
- Without a thermostat the cooler holds the oil cold in winter, and cold oil does not flow the same through the bearings
- Four outlets at different angles let the hose leave in whatever direction you have room for, without tight bends
- The two 1/8 NPT plugs take pressure and temperature sensors
Fitting
- Pick the extension screw to match the filter housing thread on the engine: M20x1.5 and 3/4 x 16 are both in the box
- Top the oil up after fitting: the cooler and the hoses fill as well
