The DTS Line SX coilover kit replaces the factory suspension, front and rear, on the Opel Corsa C, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.7 D engines. Ride height is adjusted on the threaded body, to the millimetre, even with the suspension installed. Damping is not adjustable.

It belongs to the DTS Street Performance range, developed in Germany for each car individually, and fits the original mounting points without modifying them.

Compatibility

  • Opel Corsa C, only with the 1.0, 1.2 and 1.7 D engines, from 07/2000: lowering front 30-60 mm, rear 20-40 mm; permissible axle load up to 900 kg front and 760 kg rear.
  • Only for cars where the rear shock absorber is attached at the bottom with an M10 bolt.
Fitting notes, per the DTS installation instructions
  • Installation by trained personnel only, with the proper tools.
  • On cars with electronically controlled dampers, the system is deactivated by an authorised workshop.
  • The spring seat locking screw is tightened to 1-2 Nm, no more.
  • After installation, with the car on its wheels on level ground, the height is measured and corrected within the lowering range. When setting it, allow for the car settling by a further 5-10 mm in use.
  • At least 5 mm must remain between tyre and suspension over the full wheel travel.
  • Wheel alignment is set to the car maker's values; when a large height change makes a value unreachable, it is set as close as possible to the maker's tolerance range.
  • Height-dependent components, such as headlight range control and the brake force regulator, are adjusted to the car maker's instructions.
  • On cars with ESP, DSC or EPC a fault entry and a warning lamp may appear; on some models it goes out after about 5 km of driving, and on current models the basic setting of the ESP and of the steering angle may have to be done with the car maker's diagnostic tester.
