The MFactory differential uses helical gears to move torque towards the wheel with grip, without clutch plates. It replaces the factory differential on the classic Mini (Austin / Rover Mini).

What to check

  • There are no wearing plates: it needs no special oil and no periodic rebuild, unlike plate-type LSDs.
  • It works without locking, so steering response stays as it was with the factory differential.
  • Like any helical differential, it sends little torque when one wheel is in the air. Traction control covers this, and without it drivers use left-foot braking.
