The kit brings the line and fittings for a hydraulic handbrake on the rear brake circuit: 4.75 mm copper line, a tee, 11 fittings and 10 clamps. You choose the line length, the type of tee, the proportioning valve and the handbrake from the options.

What is in the kit

Line copper, 4.75 mm diameter, 0.9 mm wall, 5 m or 10 m (your choice)
Tee M10x1 female thread on each side, with mounting hole; brass or standard (your choice)
Fittings 7 x M10x1, 1 x 7/16, 1 x 3/8, 2 x short 3/8; 5 mm bore
Clamps 10, aluminium with rubber cover, for 4.7 mm line, 5 mm mounting hole
Proportioning valve optional: OBP knob 0-60%, OBP lever 6 settings or Let's Race lever 7 settings, all with M10x1 ports
Handbrake optional: Let's Race vertical with lock (310 mm lever) or CNC71 V2 vertical (0.625 or 0.75 master cylinder), both with 7/16 inlet and 3/8 outlet, matching the fittings in the kit
Part number LR0280Z

How the run is usually plumbed

  1. A hydraulic handbrake is normally fitted inline in the rear circuit: the line leaving the master cylinder for the rear axle goes into the "in" port of the handbrake cylinder.
  2. From the "out" port the line runs to the rear, where the tee splits it to the left and right wheel.
  3. At each wheel, the copper line connects to the caliper's flexible hose.
  4. The proportioning valve, if you use one, also sits on the rear circuit line, so you can set how much pressure reaches the rear calipers.
  5. The clamps hold the line to the body along the whole run.
Fitting and warnings
  • Bench bleed the handbrake cylinder before connecting the lines.
  • Bleed the system starting from the caliper farthest from the master cylinder. Do not pull the handbrake lever while bleeding, or it traps air.
  • Inline fitting assumes the rear axle is fed by one line. On cars with a diagonal split circuit the layout changes: check your car's circuit before you order.
  • This is a kit for competition, rally and drift cars.
Before you order
  • You can add a hydraulic handbrake from the options; other handbrakes are in the hydraulic handbrake collection.
  • The handbrake master cylinder size (0.625 or 0.75) depends on the rear calipers; if you are not sure what you need, ask before you order.
  • Check the port threads on the master cylinder and the handbrake: the kit has M10x1, 7/16 and 3/8 fittings.
  • The proportioning valves in the options have M10x1 ports, like the fittings in the kit.
