The flex disc joins the gearbox output to the propshaft. The MPBS disc is red 80 ShA polyurethane with six holes for M12 bolts, made in two sizes, 78 mm and 96 mm.

Good to know
- 78 mm and 96 mm are not the outside diameter of the disc. They are the diameter of the circle the six holes sit on, measured from the centre of one hole to the centre of the opposite hole.
- The gearbox flange and the propshaft flange are drilled on one circle, so a 78 mm disc cannot replace a 96 mm one, or the other way round.
- BMW used four sizes: 78, 96, 105 and 110 mm. MPBS makes only the first two, and 105 and 110 have been discontinued.
- The maker builds it for sport use and warns that in everyday driving it can pass vibration into the body.
Before you order
Measure the disc on your car before choosing the size: the distance between the centres of two opposite holes is 78 mm or 96 mm. If you are not sure, send us the car, engine and gearbox.
