The knob brake proportioning valve sets how braking force is split between the front and rear axles. The body is aluminium and the adjustment is made with the knob.
Specifications
| Type | brake proportioning valve with knob |
| Body material | aluminium |
| Maximum pressure reduction | 60% |
| Inlet and outlet fittings | AN3 (3/8-24 UNF) |
| Part number | LR0967 |
Where it is used
- It limits the pressure in the circuit and corrects rear axle behaviour under heavy braking, with a reduction of up to 60%.
- It is used on track cars, track days and builds where the brakes are matched to the weight of the car, the suspension geometry and the tyres.
- The knob is marked with the direction of rotation towards more pressure (MORE PRESSURE).
Fitting and warnings
- An adjustable proportioning valve normally goes in the rear brake line: the inlet connects to the line coming from the master cylinder, the outlet to the line going to the calipers.
- After fitting and bleeding, test the system under controlled conditions at low speed first, and only then at normal speeds.
- This is a competition part for a brake system with adjustable balance, not a direct replacement for a standard part.
Before you order
- The inlet and outlet are AN3, 3/8-24 UNF thread, checked by us on the part.
- The sheet does not say what else comes in the box besides the valve, so plan for the fittings and lines separately.
