Where it is used

  • Synchronised or non-synchronised gearboxes, gearbox and differential units, transfer boxes.
  • Hypoid differentials without a limited slip system. For a limited slip differential Motul makes Gear 300 LS 75W-90.
  • Grade 90 when the transmission must lose less power than with a grade 140 oil.
Before you fill
  • No shear loss: it stays in grade 90 after the KRL 20 hour test of SAE J306.
  • Fluid when cold, so the gear lever needs less effort before the gearbox warms up.
  • Safe for all seals and for yellow metals in gearboxes.
  • Drain interval: per the gearbox manufacturer, adjusted to how the car is used.
