Where it is used
- Hypoid differentials with a limited slip system, and gearboxes with an integrated limited slip differential.
- Manual gearboxes, synchronised or not, and transfer boxes, under shock loads and high revs.
- The friction modifier stops the limited slip differential from chattering or dragging.
- Motul lists its use by MUGEN, Hewland and X-Trac, and in the Le Mans 24 Hours and Japanese GT.
Before you fill
- No shear loss: it stays in grade 140 after the KRL 20 hour test of SAE J306.
- Safe for all seals and for yellow metals in gearboxes.
- Drain interval: per the gearbox manufacturer, adjusted to how the car is used.
- The values are typical figures from the Motul data sheet, not specification limits.
